The Southeast Michigan Regional Energy Office is a unique collaboration of nonprofits and local governments that offers tools for cities to become more energy efficient and reduce their climate change impact, transforming the region’s image from “Rust Belt” to “Green Belt.”

By pooling resources at a regional scale, local governments can pursue efficiency improvements and renewable energy initiatives cooperatively, sharing both the costs and the benefits.
